The Walking Dead Season 5, 7 New Photos Released

The Walking Dead Season 5 Daryl Dixon

AMC has been releasing new photos for The Walking Dead Season 5 across various websites, and we’ve complied them together all in one place for easy viewing. The first photo comes via Entertainment Weekly, and it features Daryl Dixon peering through plastic (maybe the type you find hanging down in a slaughter house). Dixon has his crossbow drawn, so he looks like he is expecting trouble.

The second photo comes via IGN, and it features Tyreese and Sasha, who appear to be on the lookout for trouble. Tyreese has a pair of binoculars and Sasha has a rifle in hand. At least, they have been reunited, which is a good sign.

‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5: Daryl in danger, Tyreese targeted and gas masks

“We don’t know what’s coming next.” Sasha, you’ve never spoken truer words than this quote from one of several new “The Walking Dead” Season 5 trailers.

AMC is rolling out promotion for “The Walking Dead’s” return with 10-second videos that offer big teases in small packages. In one, Tyreese is in a cabin and sees something move behind him. In another, Rick threatens Gareth as the camera shows both Glenn and Daryl bound and gagged. Finally, people in gas masks enter the train car where Rick & co. ended Season 4.

Zap2it spoke with “Walking Dead” executive producer Gale Anne Hurd at San Diego Comi-Con, who teased that Season 5 will pick up shortly after where Season 4 ended. “It’s the first time we haven’t had ‘and months pass,'” she said. “I think the fans would have gone crazy if we’d picked up and they’re cohabiting in peace with the Terminans.”

“The Walking Dead” Season 5 premieres on Oct. 12 on AMC.

‘Walking Dead’ Season 5 Teasers Hint at Something Even Creepier Than Cannibalism (VIDEO)

I don’t know if you’ve been obsessively keeping track of AMC’s teaser clips for season 5 of The Walking Dead, but there are a couple of interesting ones that have come out lately. One gives us the briefest of glimpses at what appears to be Terminus citizens entering Rick’s boxcar in an extremely disturbing manner, and the other shows Rick delivering a threat to Gareth.

Did I say threat? I’d say given the fact that this is the new and improved Rick who’s here to kick ass and chew bubblegum, and he’s all out of bubblegum (on account of supplies being a problem in the apocalypse and all), it’s more of a promise. “These people are my family,” he says. “And if you hurt them in any way … I will kill you.” Rick’s got balls, but the background sounds and visuals in these clips make it look like this Walking Dead season is going to be a straight-up horrorshow. Plus, a brand new theory is emerging about what Terminus is really all about.

(Season 4 spoilers ahead!)

The first teaser shows people entering the boxcar while wearing gas masks:

Wow, that’s creepy. I mean, Daryl is clearly worried by whatever’s going on there, and Sasha’s line — “We don’t know what’s coming next” — seems to speak to that barely visible scene of someone hacking into what looks like a body on a table. And that scream at the end! Gahhhhh.

Here’s another equally short-and-spooky clip AMC released recently:

Boy, things aren’t looking too good for our survivors, what with them being bound and gagged and that knife-sharpening sound going on the whole time and all. It looks like they aren’t going to waste much time getting everyone out of the boxcar, as creator Robert Kirkman has repeatedly promised. He’s also said the premiere will address why they were put there in the first place, along with answers about Terminus’s backstory.

I’ve been convinced all along that Terminus was full of cannibals, but lately I’m starting to wonder if there isn’t going to be a big twist the comics fans didn’t see coming. In the season 5 trailer, we got a peek at Beth being held in some sort of medical facility, right? Do you think it’s possible that place is related to Terminus — like maybe Terminus does the slicing and dicing for whatever’s going on at the hospital? What if they’re looking for a cure? Showrunner Scott Gimple hinted at some big changes on this front last month:

Our show diverges from the comic book quite a bit. There is an aspect to these people’s lives that — they’re the ones that have to deal with the consequences. They’re the ones that are out there after a disaster, surviving, not necessarily the people — at least Rick’s group — who were like ‘OK we have to cure this thing.’ Abraham’s group [is] totally different. Now that they are coming together, we are going to see the story twist in ways that we hadn’t seen before. And roles are going to become very, very different than they’ve been before. There’s going to be a lot of shifts this season.

Comics readers know how Eugene’s arc played out in the “get to D.C., find a cure” storyline, but maybe something entirely different is coming in the show. Maybe Terminus and their torture-porn-looking setup is actually for doing icky medical experiments (and maybe they’re eating the leftovers).

So many questions! I’m sorry to see summer coming to an end, but the blood-spattered silver lining is that October 12, premiere night, can’t come soon enough.

Do you think there’s more to the Terminus story than cannibalism?

‘The Walking Dead’ season 5 spoilers: Broadcasting woman from Terminus to come back as zombie

The latest spoilers for “The Walking Dead” season 5 is that the broadcasting woman that was a resident of Terminus will be back next season as a zombie.

A rumor that originated from Reddit claimed that one of the characters of the series will be killed twice in Terminus. According to reports, the broadcasting woman will die and will come back as a zombie.

For those who do not know who the broadcasting woman is, she is the lady behind the message: “Terminus, those who arrive survive. Follow the tracks to the point where all lines intersect. There are maps at the crossings to help guide you with your journey.”

HNGN cited an unnamed Reddit user who said that the broadcasting woman is a teacher and spilled the beans in one of her classes that she will appear in four episodes next season and be killed both as a human and a zombie. The Reddit user who posted the spoiler claimed to be one of the actress’ students.

Other spoilers revealed that many members of the cast were spotted at Terminus, including Chandler, Andrew, Norman, Lauren and Steven. Moreover, there will be a lot of screams, gunfire and some walkers.

The report said that Carl, Rick, Daryl, Maggie and Glenn were all part of the Terminus train car group. The report also added that Sasha and Bob were also seen in Terminus.

Screams and gunfire may be understandable in Terminus but another plot twist may unfold as walkers now invaded the location. It seemed that the producers wanted to make sure that walkers would remain as a serious threat in the upcoming season. This is different from previous seasons where the human drama, sometimes, overshadowed the zombie aspect of the zombie apocalypse.

‘The Walking Dead’ Season 5 is currently filming in Atlanta. “The Walking Dead” season 5 will come back on air in October at AMC.
