Daryl Dixon & Mad Max

How will Daryl Dixon go out on The Walking Dead? It’s a question that Norman Reedus faces all the time from reporters, and he apparently has a couple different ideas on the issue.

In regards to the possibility of Daryl dying, Reedus told Comicbook.com last year, “Maybe, I can be found by a harem of sirens that can sing to me and pet my head. I could become their sex slave and populate mermaid land with redneck fish people.”

However, in a new interview with Entertainment Weekly, Reedus revealed a different idea as to how Daryl would ultimately depart the show.

“If I had my druthers on how I would go, I would just walk away,” said Reedus. “You would just see him walk down a road like Mad Max and I’d get smaller and smaller and smaller and smaller, and then a little dog would run on the road with me and just start following me off into the sunset, and you’d never know what happened to him. I would wanna go out like that. Just like, ‘You remember that dude? What happened to that dude?’”

So what do you think? If Daryl does ultimately have to leave the show, would you rather see him go out in a harem of sirens or Mad Max-style?

The Walking Dead Season 5 premieres on Sunday, October 12, 2014 at 9 PM ET on AMC.
