The Walking Dead Update brings you all the latest news, videos, spoilers, and more from AMC's hit series The Walking Dead!

‘The Walking Dead’ Season 4: Rick Drops an F-Bomb

Disjointed though ‘The Walking Dead‘ season 4 may have been at times, fans of Robert Kirkman‘s original comics were no doubt delighted to see so many iconic moments brought to life by AMC’s incarnation. In particular, the season 4 finale‘s cliffhanger ending was forced to tone down one of the franchise’s most chilling moments, but now you can see for yourself in all its NSFW glory!

You’re warned of some minor spoilers for ‘The Walking Dead’ season 4, potentially 5, and even the Image comics, but it seems Rick Grimes’ rallying call to his fellow “A” car survivors that Terminus was “screwing with the wrong people” might have been a bit more vulgar than the season 4 finale would have us believe. The new iteration above will likely arrive with ‘The Walking Dead’ season 4 home release’s cache of deleted scenes, though on the off-chance it’s a fake, we’ll give serious kudos to the edit.

The line had understandably changed from series creator Robert Kirkman’s source material, wherein Rick told his group that their opponents were “fucking with the wrong people” under somewhat similar circumstances, though it seems an alternate take allowed Andrew Lincoln to drop the proper F-bomb the moment deserved. AMC viewers will remember that both ‘Breaking Bad‘ and ‘Mad Men‘ have allowed the occasional F-word to get by with a quick bleep, though we expect ‘The Walking Dead’ producers would have found such an edit to undercut the tension of the finale’s closing moments.

While we wait for ‘The Walking Dead,’ season 5, we know that existing stars Christian Serratos (Rosita), Alanna Masterson (Tara) and Andrew J. West (Gareth) have all been upgraded to series regulars, while ‘The Wire‘ star Seth Gilliam joined in a role confirmed to be that of comic preacher Gabriel Stokes. The fifth season of AMC’s monster-drama will pick up shortly after season 4 finale “A,” eschewing the usual time jump to show Rick and his cohorts’ time at Terminus. Oh, and don’t forget about that Comic-Con 2014 trailer, or our beat-by-beat breakdown of its secrets!

The above change is a small one, to be certain, but fans of ‘The Walking Dead’ will no doubt appreciate an extra bit of adult content putting the AMC series closer in line with its comic brutality. What we’ve seen of season 5 thus far looks pretty great, but tell us what you want to see when the new run of AMC’s horror smash premieres on October 12!
